Really nice chilled hostel in the middle of Leon with a cute pool! Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a room with an AC and the breakfast here is really good as well! Highly recommend if you don’t want to be in a party hostel!

The location is great, as is the hostel. The breakfast is cheap and delicious and the pool was refreshing. I stayed in a 6 person room with a private bath and A/C at night. It was great. Splurge for the A/C rooms, it’s soooo hot in Leon.

Poco en Poco is a beautiful chill oasis in busy Leon - the hostel itself is really pretty and clean, the pool is perfect to relax, to cool down and to meet other people and the staff is extremely friendly, attentive and also English speaking. You can book rooms with AC with has been absolutely worth it and there are also regular activities, such as Trivia night or taco night. I was too late to take public transport to reach Managua airport and they sorted out other transportation for me within 15 min. Thank you for the great time here to Henry, Paola and the whole Poco a Poco team 🙂

Stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. Would recommend getting a room with air con as it makes such a difference. It’s a great hostel as it’s sociable without the loud noise, but you can go to big foot to party. Really impressed with how clean the hostel is and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend !

Lovely hostel with a beautiful courtyard, nice kitchen and formerly staff.

But a big problem for my stay, was as mentioned by other guests the heat in the 8-bed dorms. There are no AC, and I’ve never slept in a room as hot as this one. The room has personal fans and two ceiling fans, but they don’t help much, they just circulate the hot air. It’s even colder outside in the courtyard. :(((

I know there are other rooms with AC, but I really think I would be beneficial to look into the temperature of these specific dorms 🙂

Loved it here! Not suuuper social but not anti social! Just very relaxed. People really make use of the common area (the courtyard). Reception was always friendly and helpful. The events like movie night and trivia were well attended. Quiet hours are honored. But sleep with headphones because the door to the room is LOUD. The ladies cook hot breakfast to order in the mornings until 12pm, which is awesome. The fridge was kept pretty clean. Showers are not hot, but that’s to be expected in Nicaragua. I would not recommend walking alone in the area after dark.

Amazing hostel!! I was injured in my foot and the staff was so kind, they helped me with everything, from arranging a dokter to calling a cab. Also it was very clean and social. Would definitely recommend staying here!
