Old motel. Really old mattress. Very friendly staff. Couldn't walk my dog due to sand spurs everywhere. Was nicely priced. I would have given it 5 stars except for the sand spurs. Very nice owner. Pretty clean. Slept well. Wasn't hotel owners fault about sand spurs but could have been cleaned a little better. Not bad for 39 a night. I'd stay again due to staff friendliness. Dog friendly

The guy was nice at first.. paid 65 for a room that smelled like someone urinated on everything. We asked for our money back. But saying for 30 mins was too long for the owner so he told us we could check out. We left and drove 20 mins further to a better place. Not worth it at all.

This is definitely no frills. I couldnt make the tv/cable work. The only heat was a small ceramic heater and it took quite awhile to warm up the room. It was a cold night it snowed. The refrigerator, actually do yourself a favor..dont look inside. It was pretty gross. The carpet was really dirty and the ceiling and dinette floor need some repair. The linens were clean and the bed was soft and comfortable. They only charge 5 bucks for a dog and the desk folk are very very nice and accommodating. They gave me late check out so i could wait for the snow to melt. For the price. Its worth it. The friendliness for the price is what would make me return. Just bring slippers and some sani wipes. Its quiet. No bugs and friendly.

Our car broke down a few miles from San Jon and everyone was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is old but the host was very nice. This was a solid place to stay in an emergency.

Norman, the owner is very nice. This is not a Hilton- not for someone picky. Its pretty much in the remains of an old "village" that didn't quite survive. The room isn't that clean and there are no microwaves but it's quiet and a place to rest in tge middle of nowhere. Allows animals if you declare them. Additionally, its heater by retro space heaters. Bring shampoo and soap.
