This eclectic establishment is the BEST option around. Remember looks can be deceiving. It’s retro. So don’t overlook this spot. Extremely comfortable beds. In fact, better than at some of the larger chains. Hot water showers with GREAT pressure. Larger rooms. Very quiet! A refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker round out everything you will need. Housekeeper Kathy does an exceptional job of cleaning. And she will assist you any way she possibly can. Owner Lois is hostess extraordinaire. If you are looking for reasonably priced accommodations with people who genuinely care about your comfort, this is your place. Several other ultra runners also selected this motel as "home base." (One of the online reviews claimed shared bathrooms. NOT true. Each room has a private bath.) All you need within steps of your room. Exactly next door is a market that carries every possible product. And the Blue Stone Café delivers a fantastic breakfast. Across the street, is a shop with AMAZING sandwiches, ice cream, and candy by-the-item. Next to that is Big Bottom Tavern. Easy access to the roads, hiking trails, or whatever destination you have in mind. We were pleasantly surprised. You will be, too!

Never going to get my business again. Owners were rude, nosy, and did not appreciate a customer who made it easy on the cleaner. This place needs a full renovation with new owners in my opinion. There are too many reasons why they are on the cheaper side. If you are planning on staying one night in a emergency not so bad if its not on the weekend. But I would personally rather sleep in my car than stay in this motel that has lazy cleaners and nosy annoying owners. Go to packwood or Morton and get yourself a good nights sleep.

It's not fancy but the beds are comfortable and the service is friendly!

Old, renovated hotel. Some rooms shared bathroom. Most on 2nd floor. Coffee fridge & microwave available on 1st floor but no access to sink, water or bathroom on this floor. Nice porch with chairs. Has heat and A/C. Good historical property. Not particularly cheap.

I can only hope that the rooms without the kitchenette were renovated and much nicer...||We had to change our night of stay, so we were "upgraded" to the studio type room. It had a small kitchenette equipped with 2 electric burners, a sink, micro, fridge/freezer and coffee maker. We were provided with coffee filters, 2 plastic cups and 2 paper coffee cups. No cooking necessities. The furniture was old and piecemealed. The vinyl floor in the main area and kitchen were new, however the vinyl in the bathroom was worn, and the seam in the center of the room was peeling up. The shower worked properly and was clean but in need of some new walls and caulk (moldy).||Despite the old, second hand appearance of everything, the room was clean. Our bare feet weren't dirty after walking around and they are NOT on the bed bug registry (i checked to make myself feel better).||We only paid about $50 for the room for one night. It served the purpose. So, if you just need a cheap place to crash, here it is. There is a diner, bar/restaurant, and grocery store all along the same block. ||If I was in need of a better atmosphere, you can drive a bit further toward Packwood. Once we drove on, we noticed much nicer accommodations there.

The staff is super sweet and very friendly. My husband, my 20 year old son and myself stayed here for 3 day's while we worked in Packwood. The rooms were very spacious, beds were very comfortable, showers were amazing, heater worked great, Wi-Fi was a little sketchy, but definitely up to our standards, rooms are very clean, the price was affordable, there's a microwave, refrigerator in the rooms. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back again!

I stayed in the Randle Motel from March to the middle of May, 2016. The motel is rustic, and full of charm as you would expect in the mountains. Though dated in decor, it is clean and comfortable. The plumbing works as does the lights, mini fridge and microwave. There is the flat screen TV for those who want it, and no room telephone so if you want a phone, bring your smart phone because the Wi-Fi is free. I had a comfortable bed, the room was warm for those late winter nights and a couple of days of snow, and it stayed dry inside despite a nasty spring rain storm. |On the con side, the bathroom was a bit rough looking as some tiles had fallen off. Maybe a surround tub enclosure would do well here. |I had no problems with odors, no fleas, lice, bed bugs, as it is clean and kept that way. |If you want the sterile box hotel, go there, but I assure you after my long stay while buying a home nearby, that this was a good choice. Not perfect, but good in many ways. The grocery store is next door, and next to them is the best diner in 30 miles. Across the street is the post office, the local library, and a night club. Families from the lumber mill, contractors, musicians, and other regular folk stayed during my time, and many come back again and again. |If you aren't fussy and just want a good clean place to rest, here is a spot that I do recommend, despite the comments of some other reviewers. Clean, comfortable and affordable, and they will allow pets.|What else can you expect for a fair price? Andy

Great price for a single. Friendly, nice people, bring a winter sleeping bag and take a short shower. Love the laminate flooring. My review is strongly colored by the lack heat issue.
