Lugar práctico y con todo lo básico para descansar. El propietario, es bastante sincero y directo, recomienda, lo que cree mejor, para los peregrinos. Me permitieron estar algo más de tiempo, sin poner ningún problema.

A Google vélemények alapján jöttem ide de megbántam! A hist nagyon kellemetlen ember aki 7 órakor hangos zenével és hangos beszéddel mindenkit felkelt, ami talán nem a legjobb ötlet mert akkor mindenki egyszerre akarja használni az egyetlen fürdőszobát... Mondjuk én kora kelő vagyok de a körülöttem lévők sem örültek.

A fürdőszoba kicsi és a wc annyira kicsi hogy az ajtót alig tudod becsukni magad után. Amikor bezártam a fürdőszoba ajtót mert nem akartam hogy emberek közben a WC-re menjenek miközben én egy átlátszó fürdőszoba függöny mögött tusolok, a host kopogtatott az ajtón hogy nyissam ki mert ott a wc is. Az egész koedukált szóval én nem akartam hogy férfi jöjjön be a helységbe ahol én zuhanyzok. A fürdőszoba ajtón egyébként van kettő rés amin belátni, ezt utólag vettem észre.

Az egész egyébként egyetlen nagyobb helység, egy térben a konyha, nappali és egy rozoga ajtó mögött a fürdőszoba.

Ez volt a legrosszabb szállás az összes eddigi között. Persze a caminon vannak egyszerű szállások de arra eddig még nem volt példa hogy a host ennyire tenyérbemászó legyen. Ő volt a leghangosabb mindenki közül, próbáltam este pihenés közben zenét hallgatni de még azt sem lehetett mert úgy is hallani lehetett ahogyan előadta magát. Semmi privát szféra. Ez a hely azoknak jó akik társaságot keresni jönnek a Caminora.

Remélem nektek jobb élményt nyújt majd, de én ide soha többé nem jövök vissza, ha ők fizetnek érte akkor sem!

I stayed a few nights recently at the (pilgrim albergue) Hostel Casa de Reloj, after that long walk from Castilblanco de los Arroyos. My original plan was just to stay the one night and then walk on the next morning, but I loved the hostel and the village of Almadén de la Plata and decided to stay 3 nights.
First impressions were very positive.
I was met by Luis, who is the owner. He was so welcoming and when he was speaking with me I could tell that he genuinely cared about me as a pilgrim. I was also really impressed with the open space of the sleeping and cooking areas. There are 3 bunk beds and 4 single beds, and I chose to sleep on the bottom of one of the bunk beds. The bunk beds are large and feel spacious, and the ceiling is high if you were to choose an upper bunk.
It wasn't any issue staying for 3 nights.
While I was there, I also met Daniela, who is the wife of Luis and co-manager of the hostel. Her smile was as infectious as Luis's. Both are lovely people and they have walked caminos themselves, so they understand the mindset and needs of pilgrims. Plus, they have three wonderfully sweet children who I met sometimes. It was a lovely family atmosphere.
The price is very good (the cheapest since Sevilla) and the bed was clean as a whistle, and comfy. It was also really handy having a kitchen to cook meals because up until then I'd only been eating bocadillas.
One reviewer mentioned something about gaps in the bathroom door, so I was a bit hesitant about this. Me and another pilgrim looked that bathroom door up and down for about half an hour and we couldn't see any gaps or slits in the door. The showers were warm and I could also wash my clothes there. Soap is provided, as is tea and coffee.
Mostly though, for me, the energy of both Luis and Daniela was the highlight.
The village is small, but beautiful, and it has a surprising number of amenities. There is a well-stocked Spar supermarket, plus a small shop in the Reloj square where the hostel is. The square has orange trees. On the corner of the square, in the welcoming Bar Reloj, you can get a cafe solo for 1.10 Euro and I think the tostadas were about 1.50 Euro.
Casa Concha is the place to go for dinner. They do have a pilgrim menu for 10 Euro, but I recommend choosing a few tapas to eat instead as each plate is only 3 Euro and the food is local food and is exceptional. There is also a churros kiosk in town, and a handful of other bars. The locals were very friendly to me and this is clearly a very pilgrim-friendly village; as is the Hostel Casa de Reloj a very pilgrim-friendly temporary home to lay your head for a night or two.
Definitely one of the best places to stay when walking the Via de la Plata.

I wanted to add an edit to this review to add a tip:
In the Spar supermarket, they sell a wine with the name 'Pitarra'.
A bottle costs around 1 Euro and it is a very decent bottle of red.
Also, if you can, try some of the local goats cheese that they also sell at the Spar.

Two big rooms with beds, a kitchen with sofa and big table, a bathroom with two toilets, 2 showers and a sink. Peregrinos live a simple life. I felt comfortable in Casa de Reloj
